Touring the MCG

Last week my two brothers and I headed to the MCG for a behind the scenes guided tour.

Being sport tragics and loyal Essendon supporters we had a great day.

We were led on the tour by Bryan Downie, a man who umpired three AFL grand finals in the late 1940's and 1950 and he took us though the members, the players and coaches areas and even a walk on the ground near the interchange benches.

After the tour we went through the new National Sports Museum, which showcases memorabilia and interactive displays on all sports that have featured at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The day was fantastic, I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves their sport or just wants to see the best sporting arena in the world, the staff there were also first class.
